I made a little puzzle game for the arduboy over the weekend . It’s a pretty basic concept where you can move up/down/left/right and the objective is to land on each pad once.
This little device has limited memory, and the layout allows for a maximum of 32 tiles. To save memory I used an unsigned 32 bit integer to store level data.
I also built in a level editor that displays the resulting integer on screen so that I could write it down and then add it to the game.
With this size grid, the levels started to get pretty repetitive and I found that playing isn’t super stimulating…. just trial and error. None the less – it was fun to make and I really like the simplicity of the arduboy!
